It Is a snowy day here in North Carolina. Last night I made up this quick basic beanie, then added a flower with a butterfly. I was going to make the butterfly a flower, but I didn't have enough yarn to finish the flower.

Free Flower Pattern

CH = Chain ~ HDC = Half Double Crochet ~ SL ST = Slip Stitch ~ YO = Yarn over
Supplies: H hook ~ Worsted weight yarn ~ Craft scissors

CH 8. SL ST In first stitch to form a ring. HDC around ring. Sl St In first HDC.
CH 12. Interest hook hook Into HDC, pull through both loops on hook. (Do this step around the HDC until you get to the first CH 12 petal)
You now have 7 petals. CH 8. Interest hook Into HDC, pull through both loops on hook.
(Do this step around the HDC until you get to the first CH 8 petal)
You now have 2 layers of petals. CH 5. Interest hook into HDC, pull through both loops on hook. (Do this step around the HDC until you get to the first CH 5 petal)
CH 4. Interest hook into HDC, pull through both loops on hook. (Do this step around the HDC until you get to the first CH 4 petal) CH 3. Interest hook into HDC, pull through both loops on hook. (Do this step around the HDC until you get to the first CH 3 petal) Fasten Off.
